Aayan Mittal was born in New York City and moved to Florida in his early teenage years. In Florida, he is a junior at Pine Crest School, where he discovered his interest in Latin and how ancient ideas shape the modern world. Latin has been a major influence in shaping the person he is today and has offered him a unique perspective on language, history, and various other topics. In addition to exploring Latin, he has pursued independent studies in Ancient Greek philosophy and language.
When Latin was removed from his high school’s curriculum, Aayan recognized how inaccessible the subject had become for many students, especially those without the resources for private instruction or specialized programs, and decided to create a free resource online. In his spare time, he enjoys listening to various genres of music, spending time with family and friends, and playing violin and viola.
